The Writer Ann’s Townhouse in New York

Ann’s house was built in 1852 but remodeled extensively in the 1970s. The results, though, reflect a collaboration with a number of talented artisans and designers, first and foremost Austrian artist Karl Leitgeb, who now designs furniture in Vienna. Ann brought back the many vintage rugs from Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. And the art work, some by artist friends like Giada Ripa, Steve Mumford and Raha Raissnia, comes mainly from New York City.
